This Bela Bartok piece from 44 Violin Duos is another great example for Bartok's musical humour. It works better played by a classical guitar duo than a violin duo I think... This short piece of Bartok reminds me to the 'Microcosmos' pieces. 'For Children' pieces sometimes have the same creative rythms.
It's easier to set up the right tempos for a Bartok piece for me as a Budapest guy than giving tempos for Tarrega pieces...
We played this piece a lot with my blonde and pretty classical guitar duo partner (Eva Antal) last year around in Hungary. Would be great to make gigs in Central-Eastern-European region (Romania, Serbia etc.) where Bartok collected the original folk music for years.
