Bela Bartok: Dance from Maramaros

Bela Bartok's Dance from Maramaros (from 44 Violin Duos) seems like rock and roll dance as well as Romanian dances. Fits to the guitar and sounds really great on classical guitar duo. I loved to play that on concerts with Eva Antal - my guitar duo partner.

Francisco Tarrega: Pavana

The pavane or another name is pavan was a popular dance in Europe during the Renaissance age basically in the mediterranean area. This Pavana by Francisco Tarrega is not a renaissance pavan obviously. This piece is a Spanish classical guitar music in romantic style inspired by the old ages written by the greatest genius of the Spanish guitar... Perfect rethinking of pavana style using all the possibilities of the romantic stlye and classical guitar. And you can of course feel the Spanish blood in it... I play it very often on my concerts. Listen to my (ms3) version:

See the score:

Fransisco Tarrega: Praeludio No. 5.

My teacher, my mentor is Mr. Ede Roth. He is the best. He is a fantastic guy and knows most about classical guitar literature, fingers and fingering, classical guitar technic etc. He says that he has heard this Francisco Tarrega Praeludium No. 5. in double tempo and it was the best interpretation he has ever heard... I usually play it very slow, slower than on this video shot.

I dont know... I dont really know...

... how can we decide the right Tarrega tempo from Budapest? ... anyway I like this Tarrega piece its like a Christmas song sang by angels.

And why is my artist name is MS3? I am the third Sandor in Mester family. Sandor means Alexandre and Mester means Master in HUngarian.
