Bela Bartok: Hungarian Song

Old picture of mine:

This piece is by Bela Bartok from 44 Violin Duos as well. We played it lots of times with Eva. I liked the crescendos and rythm changes of this piece. We had to practice that a lot to always be in the same mood and tempo. Playing as a classical guitar duo its like a continious pizzicato in a violin duo, trio etc. When more than two people plays pizzicato never can be in the same time... Imagine how difficult it can be to play in a guitar duo. My favorite guitar duo is Duo Assad - they are brothers..

Francisco Tarréga: Praeludium No. 3

Praeludium No. 3 by Francisco Tarréga reminds me to the Drei leichte Lieder ohne Worte für Klavier pieces by the good old Felix Mendelsohn Bartholdy.

I like this short piece in its typical romantic Tarrega mood with a simple and nice melody. It is a romantic guitar piece but it has more wiener classical chord-line than romantic. This piece represents the beauty of the sound of classical guitar as well. The sound that we are living for...
